To address limitations and gaps in integrating patient-driven care into the clinical workflow as well as to increase patient and provider engagement in care, Partners Connected Health has teamed up with the Journal of Medical Internet Research to launch the Partners HealthCare Innovation Challenge, a competition that aims to foster creativity and bring novel technological solutions to longstanding problems in patient-driven care outside the clinic. Individuals and teams with at least one Partners HealthCare-affiliated member were invited to propose.
A panel of innovation experts and leaders from Partners HealthCare selected a winner who will launch a pilot study of their technological solution, with protocol, design, and technological support provided by the Partners. All finalists will demonstrate their proposed projects at the 2016 Connected Health Symposium on October 20-21 in Boston.
